Myllymaki accepts debate invite, Osmundson declines

In an effort to create a great source of information for the voters of central Montana, as well as to
create some great reading for Central Montana Forum readers, we offered to host an online debate
between the two H.D. 29 candidates, Kurt Myllymaki (D) and Ryan Osmundson (R).

This debate was proposed to take place via alternating email submissions from each candidate and
posted on our front page as each segment of the debate was submitted. This would have allowed
time (probably about a day per submission) for each candidate to think through their ideas and to
create well thought-out presentations of their positions and questions for each other for each
submission. It also would have created a complete and 100% accurate record of the entire debate for
each voter.

Mr. Myllymaki accepted the invitation and was enthusiastic to debate in this forum, but Mr.
Osmundson politely declined the opportunity.

The offer still stands to both candidates, and we hope that Mr. Osmundson reconsiders the idea. In
the meantime, if Mr. Myllymaki would like to use this forum to share his views and positions, he is
more than welcome. A two person debate is ideal, but if that option isn't available, we are more than
happy to provide the voters with substantive presentations from one of the candidates.

If you have any suggestions for debates that we can host between candidates or between
spokespeople of a particular measure of the upcoming election ... or even a debate between two
spirited advocates of opposing sides of any issue, please let us know at
contact@406forum.com. If
it sounds like an interesting debate, we will do our best to make it happen.
